Busy Day
Saturday, September 28th was a busy day. We started out at the Exchange Place, where dad played with the community band. From there we went to Rush Street to celebrate Eireann's 3rd birthday, which is on the 29th. Next a visit with Melba. Then I came home and made 10 jars of taco hot sauce. Whew!!!

Deer in the Garden!
One morning I walked out into the back yard and was surprised by what I saw. He didn't seem too worried about me, though. Can you hear the cicadas? They are really loud.

Labor Day 2013-Picnic in the Park
On Labor Day we had a picnic in the park with Mandy's family, Mark's kids, Melba and her caregiver, Heather, and her daughter AuBrey. We had a great time, and enjoyed being together.

Congratulations to Mark!
Mark accepted a teaching position in Livingston, Montana, so he, Sheryl, and Kirk left on Tuesday. I will really miss having them nearby, but it's a wonderful opportunity. I'm excited to get to visit Montana. I took some pictures of the family before Mark left.

43rd Anniversary
We celebrated our 43rd Anniversary with a nice meal at Red Lobster. We both look worn out. What's up with this aging process? I think I don't like it.
